Aspergillus and Toxic Mold Found
Students from Chapman University had been forced out of their dorms. The problem was caused by leaky pipes or showers that had not been reported. Aspergillus is a type of mold that affects people that are extremely sensitive to mold. The mold issues should be cleared up by the end of October.
Some students – who were supposed to move into Morlan and Pralle-Sodaro halls and Davis Apartments – were placed elsewhere on campus. Others preferred to stay with friends or relatives near campus, and a handful were placed in a nearby hotel.
