There are soo many different mold Genuses, and within those, hundreds of different species. From your “common” molds, to your black molds.
- Aspergillus
Within that Genus, there are 185 species! Aspergillus is responsible for the opportunistic diseases in man. The fungus also causes allergic diseases in asthmatics and patients suffering from cystic fibrosis. - Helminthosporium (Bipolaris)
This Genus is a breed that is most commonly found on plants, soil, grasses and such like celery and rooted vegetables. It carries large spores and is easily trapped in the respiratory tract. Click below to read more. - Epicoccum
This breed is commonly isolated from air, foodstuff, and soil. It can be found in some animals, and textiles.
