Mold exposure can cause severe respiratory problems in people when the toxic fungi is breathed in. In many cases difficulty breathing is not noticed at first, but the longer the exposure, the greater the symptoms.
As respiratory problems increase in both patients and staff at a health care facility in Geneva County, severe mold growth is suspected. An RN working at the facility by the name of Anne Dillard experienced the following :
Miss Dillard believes high levels of mold found in the building are the culprit. “My eyes burn. I can hardly breath. By the weekend it’s not bad, but during the week it gradually gets worse,” she says.
