Mold is found everywhere; even in countries such as Japan. Mold is affecting.. or infecting, one of Japan’s important crops: cherry trees. The quickly spreading mold is destroying the tree even to the state of non production. Take a look:
“A survey by the Flower Association of Japan indicates the mold has been reported in at least 18 prefectures, the Kyodo news service reported Monday. The disease makes cherry trees unable to produce flowers and sometimes kills them in about 10 years.”
Something to think about: If mold is spreading and stunting the trees in Japan, how long will it be before our American crops are quickly dying of mold growth too?
