basically, im a dancer and I have these jel knee pads that where very expensive. I put them in my bag for comp, and a few days after comp I was cleaning out all my bags, and I realised that in the same bag the knee pads where in, was a few strawberries, I guess my friends put them in there for a laugh, but my knee pads had spots of mold on them. that was about 2 weeks ago, since then they have been in several bags in my garage. I didn’t know what to do, but I looked on the web and it said to put them in a bowl of hot water, put some vinager in it, then take them out, and rinse them off with more hot water. they are now in the garage again in new plastic bags with a cloth around them, and then I will put them on a hot wash tomorrow, then put them in the sun to dry. is this the best thing to do? thank you x Marked as spam

That should do it. Just don’t keep them bagged up if they are at all moist, as that may cause more mold to grow.
