An important way to help mold prevention is by having good air flow inside a house. When a home has good air flow, it will stop excess moisture from forming on walls, windows and more. A homeowner can improve airflow by keeping doors open between rooms, keeping closets slightly open and more.

Mold-Resistant Products

If the house is old or newly constructed, mold-resistant products can help with mold prevention. There is mold-resistant drywall and various types of mold inhibiting paints that can be used. Mold-resistant drywall is paperless. It is important to be used in bathrooms, kitchens and other moisture prone areas of a home. Mold resistant paints have antimicrobial ingredients designed to stop mold growth.
