I have been addressing leaks to our apartment since Sept. 2010 along with the uprising mold colonies. The owner/management of this apartment complex has ignored our concerns with this issue. I contacted an attorney as well as Fair Housing. I also hired a licensed mold inspector and the results were astounding. Toxic mold is throughout this apartment. The outcome of this law suit is favorable. The owners will have to pay all relocating costs which was filed with Fair Housing and also our attorney is filing a large sum of monetary damages in the court of law. Anyone that has health issues with mold should take action against any owner of rental property due to the owner/management’s neglect. Stand up and make a difference. Let slumlords know they can’t get away with such neglect.

Michael, wow! We get a lot of requests from renters to look at their mold concerns but their landlords usually have different agendas. Good for you for fighting the smart fight and best of luck!
Well I’ve just survived a black mold situation my landlord also did not want to a ddress. The entire building is infested I want to warn people not to rent from these people as they own approx 16buildings I. Los Angeles area
I started to get a tiny rash on my arm that spread to my stomach neck everywhere ! Then the thing got in my bloodstream attacking my eyes
I spent six months healing and talking raw garlic apple cider vinegar oregano oil and other herbs to kill the mold in my bloodstream
I got the hell out of there and I’m suing them. Because this ruined my life and my relationships ruined my belongings too
Owners like that need to live in they’re moldy apartments and see how they like it
I couldn’t see the mold I had. But after flooding every other year the nine years I was there I finally got sick. Tested the place found black mold I side the walls floorboards and ceiling
Owner had they re own mold person come in who said ” there are acceptable levels of black mold ” ha ha. I was like WHAT? Have to sue them don’t have a choice in my situation

I was exposed to toxic mold at work and I am fighting my employer for workers compensation. I got extremely ill and finally found the right doctor that tested me for mold and my tests results were positive. I seriously thought I was going crazy. My name is Samantha, I m 65 and I am a full-time caretaker for my Sweet Mama – we had a mold inspection report and the results were we have a species of mold in our apartment and its even in our furniture. My Sweet Mama already has issue with dementia and glaucoma already and it has made it worse. I had sick three different times with the flu.
