An apartment I lived in 3 years had Stachybotrys growing on a wall behind a picture frame. They cut that portion of the wall out and removed it from the apartment. I feared contamination, threw most of my belongings away and moved. I stored several boxes of papers in a storage unit. I cleaned out the storage unit recently. I placed the papers in new plastic bins and moved them to my new residence. I noticed that some of the top didn’t completely seal. Could I have cross contaminated my new home? Will I now have to get rid of or clean everything again? Are there other practical steps I can take or testing so can do? I can’t afford to do this all over again. Marked as spam

I would check into a safe fogging agent to kill any residual mold spores. There are wet and dry options. Check to make sure it is nontoxic. I have heard of a hydrogen peroxide fog, but it has to be done right otherwise it can damage things.
