I have a female friend. She’s around 36 years old. She lives in an apartment complex that has a significant amount of mold problems. Around six months ago I noticed circles on her neck. I looked real close and they were what appeared to be ring worm. I saw her the other day and she lifted her pants and shirt. These rings of rash are all over and I mean all over. Looks like hundreds of them that just cover her. Naturally I am washing to prevent exposure. I have suggested that it could be ring worm and to use Lotromin. I have not seen any pictures where this fungus covers the whole body. I’m not entirely convinced it is ring worm due to the mold in her apartment. She has been living with the mold for atleast four months but I bet it has been going on longer. She called the housing authority and they gave the complex a month to clean it up. Nothing has been done.

Questions:

If this is ring worm can it become systemic.? There are so many rings. Would/could mold cause similar symptoms as ring worm? I do not no if it itches or if there is pain.
