Question:
Where can I purchase “mildicides”? I need a fogger type substance for my closets/furniture. Also, does charcoal work as a molder smell reducer?
Answer:
You can find basic mildicides at walmart, home depot, or other such department stores. Charcoal, in theory, may work for reducing smell if you are looking for something natural like that, though I would think baking soda would work better.
For those interested in biodegradable mildicides, until a vendor comes forward and takes the step towards being green or we’re able to find an available product (whichever comes first), we encourage you to keep on looking.
I wish you the best,

I went to both Home Depot and Walmart, even Target and asked for a mildicide fogger or a fungicide spray, they all said they didn’t carry anything like that. Can you be more specific where a mildicide fogger or a fungicide spray can be found? They are not in the cleaning agents department.
Another poorly researched post on mold, in this case sending victims on ‘wild goose chases’ to local stores looking for mildicide foggers. A simple check of their websites indicates that they do not carry these items. Would it have been too much trouble for you to simply have your facts straight vs. giving erroneous advice??? (or is the real intent of this blog to lure the desperate to its multitude of adverstisements?)
MoldControl made by Concorbium is an excellent product for eliminating mold; it can be used on all surfaces, including clothing. Just follow the directions for use listed on the applicator. It can also be used in a fogger. Look for foggers at Home Depot, Builders Square, or Ace/Aco Hardware stores.
Hope this info is helpful.
I am being charged an exorbitant amount for someone who used MILDCIDE…could not find it at Lowe’s or Home Depot yet my bill shows that is what they used as well as a ROOM FOGGING something or other.
We didn’t even asked for that procedure to be done.
Help
Just getting a price for a Gallon of it would suffice.
Hi, i thought i would mention that you could purchas an ozone generator (NOT an air puririer).
Google it and you will see how amazing they are!!
Even though most are for commercial use, i have found one for the home that costs about £98.00.
Has anyone a comment on the product AM500 antimicrobial coating? Their web site says it is non-toxic and better than anything on the market (don’t they all say that?).
We appear to have different types of mold spores everywhere including all our clothing, on furniture, in upholstery, and in rugs. I’ve tried using vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, salt, baking powder , etc with no success. They are so enmeshed in fabrics I fear they will never come out. I’ve even tried freezing and “baking” pants. These things actually damn off my clothes and skin in public onto seats and tables and because I have a disorder affecting my collagen, my skin is extremely fragile and they cause sores. Oh, I also gave sprayed my clothing with insecticide and steamed it.
Please, please help direct me to products that can be used housewide on large quanities. These things are even in closed boxes. Thank you
Is there any product that can tombs black mold spores from clothing an shoes??? My baby an I are very sick moving an heart broken if I have to get rid of everything I own;( please help
I have suffered with these white floating spores. I quit my job because when I walk past someone they start to itch, sneeze, and cough. I throw away almost everything my daughter and I own. My mother is homeless because of this. I want my freedom back. I’m purchasing the mold bomb fogger as soon as I can get enough money to purchase the case for my home, cat, and clothing. God Bless you. I know what you are going through and it really hurts. I cried so many times over this creature.
While searching about various mold cleaning, I came across a product recommended on another blog that claims to be a mold OXIDIZER. I called the company and they cannot claim to kill mold, but he said it disables it (essentially killing it). It is “OdorXit’s AQM CLO2”. Website is odorxit.com. Hope that helps some people.
Louise – I hope that you read this because your post is why I am responding. My heart hurt, my stomach turned, and my pulse rate went into anger mode when I read what you wrote. Killing the mold in your home is only part of your battle. The road ahead is long. I have an illness called Morgellons; please check into it for yourself. The connection between your skin disorder, the collagen issue and the sores, is Morgellons. The unknown name of the disease is because doctors dont accept it yet. The Center for Disease Control doesn’t accept it yet. Sufferers such as you and I get it only after someone else tells us the name. Then instantly everything makes sense…finally. Sadly, until the medical and pgarmaceutical companys recognize Morgellons, we fight single handedly to explain and educate these professionals. And suffer and anger and cry. Silently. I hope for a different future and I pray to help others along the way. May you find total relief and not just partial. Only the recognition that these connected issues are more than they appear is required to save a persons life.
Borax by team mule 20 in the wash for mold and morgellons! A pinch in drinking water for morgellons, fungus, arthritis, hormone balancing. You can read more at earth clinic dot com. Prayers to everyone for healing
Buy a dehumidifier from Wal-Mart as a start. They are cheaper online. READ the reviews and get a good one. Drying your air will help a ton. Find review on any fogger, you could end up with a worse problem.
