I had a beautiful woolen jacket with a terrible musty odor. I vacuumed it, steamed it, sprayed with Fabreze and let it air outside in the cold for an hour. It is fresh and odor free. The most important consideration was to make sure that the appearance and shape of the garment were not affected. I hope this helps!
