Our basement has been leaking for months. I have contacted the property manager about this twice now and they told me that they are not going to fix this since the room is my storage room in the basement. It has panelling and carpet. Two of my children have asthma and when we came and looked at the house before signing the lease I asked the landlord if the basement leaked and she said no.
Then as winter left and the snow started melting the water started coming in. There is a musty smell in the storage room down there and I believe that there is mold growing under the carpet and panelling. I am a single mother and have 4 months left on my lease and I would like to move to another house that is safe for our family and don’t know how to get out of my lease. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!
