by Jonathan

In the month of august of 2011 I found a mushroom growing in my bathroom, I went to board of health three times about this issue and was told someone would get back to me. I have been to the ER three times. When it rains I cannot breathe. I tried to go to board of health on thursday September 28 and they where closed. The ER told me not to return to that location I have no clue who else to turn to I am on disability

I would suggest you visit chronicneurotoxins.com and take the visual mold test first. this test can show the presence of trychosithenes in your body (15$ test to help diagnose)
Mainly though you need to have your home inspected and treated for possible mold contamination.
We have a product that is lab tested to kill mold in a very fast and effective (as well as affordable!) manner.
Finding the moisture source and repairing it is also paramount to having a safe living environment!

I had the same problem in our apartment.
Willowbrook lake apartments in Indianapolis. We moved in March 10,2011 to the old apartment managers apt F and it was in a sick building all of the tenants had to move out by November 2011. On March 15, 2011 I had new furniture delivered and mold spores spreaded in my furniture and clothing what should we do? My family members and I have been severly affected by the mold. I have pictures and Dr. reports. Also I have been to the Board of Health about these issues please help me or give advice to remedy this mold problem. I was on antibotics from March 2011 to July continually. Then in August I got sick again. Breathing in a sick building was very difficult for me it felt like my lungs were closed in a tight grip, the nose hairs constantly burns,my eyes burn and are red,and the mold and sewer flies irratates my skin causing severe itching. My grandchildren and I constantly slept while in Willowbrook ages 3to 15 for my grandchildren and age 29 to 52 my daughter and my self

Dear Monica,

I may have spoken to you before and I recommend that you relocate to a ‘safe’ place. Continuing to expose yourself to ‘toxigenic’ mold will only make your health worst. Taking contaminated belongings from your home will cause cross-contamination in your new home. This is very dangerous and will compromise your health further. Mycotoxins from mold spores are poisonous and affect the body in many many ways such as neurologically, breathing (pulmonary), cardiovascularly (heart and circulatory), gladularly, hormonally, etc. Although these pathogenic substances are invisible to the naked eye they are real and extremely dangerous. You had very wise and knowledgable advise from the medical staff at your ER.

To Blanca and others.
Please contact the Mold Treatment Center of America. http://www.moldtc.com
They have a lot of information there that will help you. Also, a urine test can test you for mold infection and mycotoxins. Contact EHAP Labs for information regarding testing.

Monica, In addition to all of the other good comments above, my recommendation is to protect yourself by buying a simple HEPA room air cleaner (purifier). Less than $200, you can take it with you, no bells and whistles, just a simple fan, cage and HEPA filter! You won’t believe the difference.

I lost everything I owned to an apt. in Tampa, FL. My daughter and I both got terribly ill and that was a year and a half ago. I have nothing left and can’t work because I am sick and 61. I need some legal cases that were won by people like me. I need a lawyer in Tampa who knows about mold and how to win a mold case. Doctors know nothing about how to treat mold. It is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for website! I’m from Boston…At work mushrooms grow in the plants on windowsill. part of wall behind my desk eaten away by mold. Wall got scraped and repainted. Have experienced sick building syndrome for years. Complaints led to threats that I could lose job. Last year had four emergency visits because of eye/face infections and saw at least 12 doctors–imagine this in the medical mecca of the US. Am considering legal action for disability but need powerful legal representation to take on these powerful bullies. Any suggestions?

Pat, my recommendation to you would be to LEAVE your jobsite a.s.a.p. No job is worth the loss of your eyesight, health, immune system or life. Continual exposure to ‘toxigenic, pathogenic’ mold, mold spores, mycotoxins, dead mold, bacteria and or viruses only destroy one’s body. And no amount of money is worth that as well. Get out of these environments and run for your lives. p.s. No air filtration system no matter how expensive or inexpensive will make a difference when it comes to the likes of Stachybotrys, Aspergillus, Penicillium, Alternia, Cladosporium, Fusarium as well as any other molds that are life threatening.
